Listening to the spotlight is such worth thing to do. It really helps us to improve our reading, writing and listening skill. Meanwhile, it also helps us to enrich our life experiences by telling us about everything. Thanks to Spotlight.

Yes, I learnt a lot from other countries.
“Refugee All Star”, I learnt them from one of the spotlight program, I was so shocked from knowing their stories. I must say this program is so great. Spotlight does not only impove our english.

We are really happy that you enjoy both parts of spotlight. We want to help people practice their English skills, but we also want to share interesting stories and information about the world. Are there any subjects or topics you enjoy most?

Most of the programs are great, it’s hard to say which I love the best.
“The Mysteries of Memory” - I found this is very interesting, maybe I’m also the big fan of the TV program “Heroes”
I also love the topic about disabled people, because my mother is the one who the lower part of her body is disabled.
Nomatter how tragic the stories are, it always brings out the positive meaning over the program. That’s the one of the reason I love spotlight.

hi,

i have just learnt english in order to develop my academic career in the field of socoiology by memorazing words around 4000 in english for nearly one year. At start of this process, i discovered this website and since then, i have found it extremely usefull.

Yet, there is a point that i want to criticize especially. I read a number of texts on your website. Everything is nice, but i have seen that there is a missionary role through verses from the Bible. Is this necessary? i think, except for that, really, this website is nice..

Hi Aaron.  A ‘black and white way of thinking’ is way of thinking about something, but in too simple a way.  If you think in a black and white way, you think that things are either right or wrong, or that the answer can either be yes or no.  Often this kind of thinking is too simple.  Much of life is not ‘black and white’.  There is often a ‘grey area’ where it is difficult to say what is right or wrong.  In ‘The Future Wealth of Bolivia’ Carlos Mesa says it to describe how the president does not understand the difficult issues and he is thinking too simply.

I hope that helps.  Thanks for asking.  If you have any more questions let us know.

Hello Steve
Thank you for your clear explanation and your article which tell us about the resource that we are now using such as laptop’s battery, cell phone’s battery.
Furthermore, Even though your article is about another country which is very far from me,It’s very interesting and good to know about a different government attitude.
So, We can see two things on your only one article.” By the way, I would like to see a thing in our country which is friendly, environmentally like a Ford car that going to make Bolivia people environmentally, friendly.

Thank you for your help.
